The Licking County Safety Council is dedicated to the safety of employees and focuses on promoting safety in the workplace. We have 104 individual members representing 104 companies in our community. We promote safety in business and industry within Licking County through monthly quality meetings pertaining to occupational safety and health and the Ohio BWC services. These programs are coordinated by the Licking County Chamber of Commerce through the Division of Safety & Hygiene.

Earn Rebates While Building a Safer Workplace:

Employers with an active Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation policy can earn a 3% rebate on their premiums by participating in the Licking County Safety Council. To qualify, companies must enroll by the annual deadline and attend at least ten Safety Council meetings during the fiscal year.

The impact is real-following rebate processing for FY25, BWC reported $5.699 million in rebates earned statewide. Locally, Licking County Safety Council members achieved a combined savings of $74,818.

It pays to stay safe, informed, and engaged.

Regular luncheon meetings are held monthly year round on every second Tuesday of each month.

The Licking County Safety Council has earned Honorable Mention desginations in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, & 2015. In 2006 we received Second Place Safety Council of the Year and 2007 Third Place Safety Council of the Year. In March of 2010 the BWC annouced the Licking County Safety Council as Safety Council of the year for 2009 for the 2nd consecutive year.
